RE: “The Pacer Renaissance…”
The Pacers are on the way back.
Well, that’s good to hear. So tell me, why are the Pacers on the way back?
Because Darren Collison is a legit pass first PG in this league. Love his game. Love it. […] One more year and Collison will be better than Ariza*.
I hope that, for the first time in a while, we’ll be a more exciting team. With a pass first PG (who “replaced” the assist-happy Chris Paul last year as a rookie), I really hope to see plenty of exciting passes (and alley-oooops!) next season. FINALLY.
It’ll really stink when Paul starts sh*tting the bed to get out of NOLA.
Cosign, and I personally think that NYK-MIA supergroup rivalries would be kind of awesome. Except, in my eyes, it’s like everyone is just trying to build their defenses to keep from getting murdered by the one supergroup that exists already, so maybe not.
Because Danny Granger is a good scorer, and could be a valuable trade asset come the deadline.
A few months ago, I was distraught at the thought of trading Granger for Tracy McGrady. But now, I think I would be able to accept trading Granger for a better puzzle piece might be necessary if Paul George happens to show out and become the Ultimate Solution for the superstar swingman part of the team. In any case, I hope that Granger ends up on a good team, in a good contract, and in a good roster slot if the time comes that he must depart.
Because the Pacers have garbage men who know how to play their role, defend and rebound in Jeff Foster, Dahntay Jones and James Posey. Because Luther Head knows how to shoot the ball off the bench, and well, if this George kid pans out…
Can we drop Jones and only keep Foster around if he’s going to retire soon? Another career-long Pacer? That’s nice for the brand. Oh, and Posey can do some damage, but he’s no solution. Regardless, I could have sworn that Luther Head had already signed elsewhere already. Oh wait, wasn’t that New Orleans? Either way, Drop Jones, hold onto Jeff and James and, well… George, I think, should speak for himself.
Why I really think they’re on the come up is the cat pictured above. Lance Stephenson might have some “issues,” but he can get to the hole, he’s a load doing it, can pull up from anywhere, and is one tough hombre from Coney Island. He’s also the all-time leading scorer for high school basketball in the state of NY, and there’ve a been a couple of decent players in the NY and the PSAL…
Well, I guess my question on Twitter is answered now. I guess he would be a sensible option at SG. That works for me. Whatever it takes. I’d personally look for someone a little bigger to be our marquee shooting guard, but he’s definitely a viable option. Regardless, this works for me.
ROY? I don’t think it’s out of the question, if he plays some defense… More than likely, in January, you’re going to be hearing stories talking about “Lance Stephenson overcoming personal struggles” on ESPN, and mentioned as the steal of the draft.
Wait a minute, wasn’t George supposed to be the steal of the draft? And I’ve heard the words, “steal of the draft” many times before, and I’ve heard nothing, despite Roy Hibbert’s somewhat-breakout. I would be more excited for George to be the “steal”, especially since I’ll be incredibly pissed if George falls through, like past draft picks by the Pacers.
Personally guarantee he puts on a show at the Rookie Game at All-Star Weekend
THEY (King George and Lancelot**, yeh??) better put on a show at the Rookie Game. I can see it happening. Oh and on a slightly related note, I want to see Darren Collison an All-Star Saturday event and have George in the dunk contest, so that George can get decent oops from DC2 (sorry I’m really hanging onto the subject). Regardless, it’ll be exciting to watch.
*Trevor Ariza must be on suicide watch. Agent loses a big hand to the Lakers, screws you from playing with the back-to-back Champions, and playing for the 3Peat. Now he’s just trying to figure out how in the hell David West is a #2 option in the NBA.
This is exactly why Shannon Brown was smart to re-sign with the Lakers. Don’t pull an Ariza. Ouch.

it wasn’t bad though, right? King George and Lancelot? No? All right, whatever.
